Share

Introducing Alisa Konchenko, the Vice President of Business Development at DocStudio. DocStudio is a digital document automation platform designed to streamline the exchange, processing, and management of essential business documents.

Tell me about your company:

I am part of DocStudio, a digital document automation platform that enables seamless exchange, processing, and management of business-critical documents. While my company provides cutting-edge solutions for industries such as retail, logistics, and supply chain, my primary focus is on driving digital transformation through standardization, automation, and interoperability. I work closely with industry stakeholders to implement solutions that not only enhance efficiency but also align with global technology standards.

What makes your company special?

For me, what makes DocStudio unique is its flexibility and ability to adapt to different industries and needs. It’s not just another document management system—it’s a platform that allows businesses to exchange, process, and automate documents seamlessly, whether they’re using EDI, e-signatures, or custom workflows. Beyond technology, I believe the real value lies in how we work with our clients, offering tailored solutions instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.

How did you enter the 3PL industry, and what is your background in the industry?

My background is in business development and digital transformation within enterprise technology solutions. Over time, I became deeply involved in optimizing document-driven workflows in industries where efficiency and compliance are critical—such as logistics, retail, and supply chain management. I was drawn to the 3PL sector because of its complexity and the increasing need for data-driven decision-making, process automation, and standardization.

What do you enjoy the most about the 3PL industry, and what excites you about 3PL?

The 3PL industry is at a pivotal moment where technology, regulations, and business needs are evolving rapidly. What excites me the most is helping businesses transition from manual, fragmented processes to structured, automated workflows. The adoption of e-invoicing, real-time data exchange, and compliance with global standards is transforming how companies operate. I enjoy working with industry leaders to ensure they are not just keeping up with these changes but leveraging them to gain a competitive edge.

What about the 3PL industry is most challenging?

One of the biggest challenges is the complexity of document exchange. Many companies still rely on outdated systems, and getting everyone on the same page, especially when dealing with multiple suppliers, formats, and compliance requirements, can be tough. There’s also a learning curve when it comes to adopting new technology. But that’s exactly why I love what I do—helping businesses bridge that gap and make the transition smoother.

What interested you about becoming a member of TIA, and what feature of TIA membership are you most excited about?

I am truly honored to be part of TIA, an organization that brings together the brightest minds shaping the future of transportation and logistics. As someone deeply involved in digital transformation, document automation, and interoperability, I see TIA as an invaluable platform for collaboration with industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers. The 3PL sector is evolving rapidly, and being a member of TIA allows me to stay at the forefront of emerging trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements that are driving efficiency and innovation in logistics and supply chain operations. I’m excited to contribute my expertise while also learning from the collective knowledge and experience within this prestigious community. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts and participate in discussions around standardization and automation. TIA’s focus on education, advocacy, and innovation aligns well with my mission of helping companies adopt more efficient, compliant, and scalable document-driven processes. Engaging with other members, technology providers, and logistics professionals will help drive new ideas and partnerships that can support digital transformation across the industry.

What do you hope to gain overall from membership with TIA?

My goal is to contribute my expertise in digitalization, document automation, and industry standards while also gaining deeper insights into the challenges and needs of 3PL businesses. Through TIA, I hope to exchange knowledge, build strong industry connections, and identify new ways to help logistics providers modernize their operations. I also look forward to learning from real-world case studies, policy updates, and technology-driven discussions that can further enhance the solutions I help implement.

What was your company’s greatest achievement this year?

One of DocStudio’s greatest achievements is being an active part of the Digital Business Network Alliance and key e-invoicing initiatives, contributing to the advancement of standardized B2B document exchange across North America. We have been deeply involved in shaping industry standards and technologies for the seamless exchange of critical business messages, such as invoices and remittance advice, ensuring greater interoperability and compliance across different industries. Additionally, we successfully launched our AI-driven document recognition tool, which enhances the automation and accuracy of document processing, making it easier for businesses to digitize and manage their workflows efficiently.

What goals do you have for the future of your company?

Moving forward, my goal is to continue driving digital transformation in the logistics and 3PL industries by expanding the adoption of automated, standardized document exchange solutions. I aim to strengthen our contributions to B2B messaging frameworks, industry interoperability initiatives, and compliance-driven digital document processes. Additionally, I want to further enhance our AI-powered automation tools to help businesses reduce manual processing, improve data accuracy, and optimize operational efficiency.

How can TIA help you reach your goals?

TIA provides a strong platform for collaboration, industry advocacy, and knowledge-sharing, which are essential for achieving these goals. Through engaging with industry leaders, participating in discussions on digital transformation, and contributing to conversations about standardization and automation, I look forward to helping shape the future of logistics document management. TIA’s network and resources will also support fostering new partnerships and driving broader adoption of digital solutions within the 3PL industry.
